Tallinn-Estonia

The 3rd International Meeting of the ACT NEW HOME (Active Citizenship in The New Homeland) was held on May 31st- June 1st, 2023, in the capital city of Estonia, Tallinn. The meeting was hosted by Cuiablue OU, one of the project partners. A total of 14 participants from all partner organizations attended the meeting. On the first day, May 31st, presentations were made on the module titles and contents determined in the 2nd TPM (Transnational Project Meeting), as well as the contents prepared by teams for the respective modules.

The Contents of the modules are as follows:

  1. Module 1 Active Citizenship Concepts
  2. Module 2 Basic Rights
  3. Module 3 Lifelong Learning
  4. Module 4 Participatory Life
  5. Module 5 Business Life

 After the presentations of the modules were completed, discussions were held to evaluate the entire e-learning module on active citizenship for asylum seekers and refugees in both global and local contexts. The strong and weak parts of the module contents were emphasized, and challenges and limitations were reviewed. Teams engaged in discussions and exchanged views on the module content sections prepared by each other. Based on the evaluations made, necessary adjustments were made to the prepared modules.

On the second day of the meeting, a brainstorming session was conducted to improve the module. Afterwards, views and suggestions were put forward to clarify how the pilot study of the drafted e-learning module would be carried out. The scheduled activities and task distribution among partners for the project’s upcoming phases were reviewed. The plan for sharing and promoting the project’s results was explained to the partners. Key points to be considered in the formal aspects of sharing and promotional activities were reiterated. Partners were reminded to follow social media accounts and promote the project locally. Finally, the schedule and agenda for the online meetings to be held during the summer were determined.

During the meeting, evaluations were conducted regarding the LTT (Learning, Teaching and Training) activity that will take place in Portugal, hosted by FAJUB, in October. Opinions were shared on topics such as the date, participants, and the content of the training. The risk plan prepared by Cuiablue OU and the quality control plan prepared by Scout Society were examined. A general assessment of the meeting was made, and important points were summarized before concluding the meeting.
